Dental LED Curing Light Daily & Regular Maintenance Guidelines
- Daily Maintenance (After Each Use)
Wipe the host surface, light guide rod, and charging base with a soft lint-free cloth and neutral disinfectant to remove stains, saliva, and resin residues. Ensure no liquid remains on the device surface to avoid circuit damage. Confirm the device is dry and placed in a dry, dust-free storage environment.
- Weekly & Monthly Maintenance
Use a dental radiometer to detect light intensity output regularly. If the light intensity is lower than the factory standard, check the light guide or apply for equipment maintenance. Inspect the charging contact points for oxidation and dirt, and clean them to ensure stable charging. Check the key response, display clarity, and mode switching sensitivity of the host.
- Disinfection Standard
The host, charging base, and buttons are not immersible; only surface wiping disinfection is allowed. Disposable protective sleeves must be replaced for each patient to prevent cross-infection.
- Battery Maintenance
For the first use, charge the device for no less than 4 hours. Avoid long-term over-discharge and over-charging. If the device is not used for a long time, charge it regularly every 1–2 months to maintain battery activity. Store and charge at room temperature, avoiding high-temperature and humid environments.
- Common Faults & Solutions
① Insufficient curing effect / Light intensity weakening
Causes: Residues on the light guide surface, light guide wear & aging, battery power shortage. Solutions: Clean the light guide, replace the damaged light guide, or charge the device fully.
② No power / Failed to charge
Causes: Poor contact of charging points, battery aging, power adapter failure. Solutions: Clean charging contacts, replace the adapter, or apply for battery maintenance.
③ Overheating during operation
Causes: Long-term high-power continuous operation, blocked heat dissipation. Solutions: Suspend operation for heat dissipation, avoid long-time continuous use, and clean heat dissipation holes regularly.
- Maintenance Taboos
Do not rinse the whole device with water or immerse it in liquid. Do not use corrosive, strong acid and alkali disinfectants. Do not disassemble the device privately. Do not expose the device to high temperature, humidity, or direct sunlight for a long time.
